Blakstad Gard is beautifully situated right at the Storfjord in Sykkylven. Here the deep fjord and the Sunnmøre Alps meet in a way that must be experienced. Whether you are coming from Ålesund or are on your way over the mountain from Stranda, the farm is a natural stop to feel the sea air and the historical tranquility of the farmyard.
How to find the way:
From Ålesund and Magerholm (approx. 45 min): Take the ferry across the Storfjorden to Sykkylven (Aursneset). From the ferry pier, follow the road along the fjord for approx. 5 minutes before driving over the Sykkylvsbrua bridge. Turn right onto Sørestrandvegen, and you will find the farm on the right after a short drive.
From Stranda and Strandafjellet (approx. 30 min): Follow Fv60 down towards the fjord. Turn off and drive over Sykkylvsbrua, then turn right onto Sørestrandvegen. Follow the road until you see the farm down by the sea on the right.
Parking: We have plenty of space for both cars and buses in the yard.
