The Gapahuken on the mountainside
Welcome to Gapahuken
Situated on the edge of the forest, with the mighty Blakstadfjellet mountain in the background, the gapahuken offers spectacular views of both Storfjorden and Sykkylvsfjorden. Here you get close to the elements in a solid wooden structure that provides shelter while opening up to the magnificent fjord landscape.
There is a gravel road all the way, so it is possible to drive up by car for those who need it.
Atmosphere around the campfire
This is the perfect place for informal gatherings. The gazebo has benches both around the fireplace and along the back wall, creating a social area with space for 20–30 people. You can book with catering from us, or provide the food yourself – we have a large grill available for you. Simple outdoor toilets are nearby.
Wildlife and activities
Around the gapahuken they often greet horses, goats and alpacas. If they wish, we can arrange for the alpacas to be inside the fenced area by the gapahuken. To make the gathering extra fun, we can also organize activities such as:
