Welcome to the basement
Underneath the old farmhouse from the mid-19th century you will find Kjelleren. With thick walls and a cozy atmosphere, this venue is a journey through time in itself – perfect for smaller groups looking for an experience outside the ordinary.
Here, food culture and the history of "survival" are at the center. We serve the taste of Sunnmøre as our ancestors made it. As guests, you can choose between traditional dishes such as:
The cured meat plate: Leg of lamb from old Norwegian sheep, local cheese and cured meat with homemade flatbread.
Slow-roasted leg of lamb: Served with seasonal vegetables – a man's meal that has had plenty of time in the oven.
Tastings and rentals
The basement is the place for good conversation. We offer local tastings where you can taste and hear a little about our food treasures, but the room can also be rented for your own purposes.
You can choose whether you want to rent the venue with full catering from us, or if you just want to rent the room for your own event. This makes Kjelleren ideal for everything from intimate dinners and Christmas parties to board meetings and smaller teams.
